Cova Brouwer Gentry
A childlike love for the world.

I was born and raised outside the dinosaur badlands of Alberta, Canada. I grew up fossil hunting, exploring vasts forests, camping, and kayaking the Red Deer River.

With an American mother and a Canadian father, I spent much of my childhood roadtripping across both countries to visit family in Tennessee and Arizona, which made me fall in love with exploring new places.
I was obsessed with history, eager to learn anything about any place in time. One of my favorite memories from third grade was directing and performing a staged reenactment of the death of Cleopatra.
Equal to my childhood obsessions of animals, history, and geology was my constant writing. I started writing novels when I was 9, and wrote novels until I discovered people can actually write movies for a living! Jurassic Park was by far my favorite film as a kid: I rewatched it hundreds of times, and I've read the book 7 times as an adult. My love and wonder for the beauty of Canada is a constant inspiration to my scripts.
I currently work as a Talent Coordinator and executive assistant for American Talent Management in Beverly Hills, California, where I am also represented as a screenwriter.
Previously, I was a coordinator and executive assistant for Kappa Studio - editors of The Chosen. While in college, I had three LA internships: a production assistant internship with the Hollywood Prayer Network and two coverage internships with the creators of Ghostbusters and Spacejam.

I'm excited to express my awe for the natural world through the stories I can tell!
